Hi Forklift Fans – we just received this announcement from our friends at DC Department of the Environment. Looks like a great event!
On Friday, September 26th, plan to attend the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs’ FREE Green Building Symposium and Expo at the Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Place NW.
Make your way to room T#3 to take part in two afternoon educational workshops on solar permitting, featuring information presented by DDOE solar expert Emil King and DCRA solar inspector Keith Winston.
The 1:30pm thru 2:45pm session – Solar Permitting Guidelines Part I – “Streamlining Solar Permitting” will focus on understanding the key elements necessary in plans and specifications to ensure solar permit applications are processed smoothly and successfully in the District.
The 3:00pm thru 4:14pm session – Solar Permitting Guidelines Part II – “Supercharging Solar” will focus on improving the coordination and reaching for best practices amongst the solar community in DC – a particularly crucial need in the face of rapidly increasing solar installs in the region. This session is envisioned as a more free-flowing exchange of ideas and information in order to draw on the experience of the attendees while addressing some of the challenges as solar installations increase in DC.
