1. I own an old Singer sewing-machine base. Since my boyhood it had an old wooden coffee-table top screwed to it. I recently gave it a new paint job and topped it off with a piece of marble I bought at the Forklift. Cost – $36.
2. In the same vein I bought an awesome slab of stone and mounted it as a coffee table in what we term The Lounge. We like think its broken edges and irregular shape gives it a cool “ruin” look. Cost – $35.”
