To get through a gray Monday, make plans for a fun Friday!

What’s the best way to get through a dreary Monday like today?  Start making weekend plans!

We’ve got a fun idea for this Friday night, Nov. 13th – and it would work well for a date, a group of friends, or a family adventure.  First, stop by one of the many affordable eateries nearby to pick up a quick meal.  Our staff favorities include Three Brothers Italian Food on Kenilworth Ave for the daily specials, Rico Pollo & Steak in Bladensburg for Peruvian chicken with lots of options for sides, and Spice 6 in Hyattsville for Indian street food, tandoor wraps, and vegetarian options.

Next, stop by Community Forklift and Tanglewood Works for a few minutes to see what treasures have arrived (we are open till 7pm on Fridays).

Then, head over to the Bladensburg Waterfront Park for a campfire and night walk at 7pm:

This Friday:  Campfire and Night Walk!
Ever wonder what happens at the Anacostia River after dark?

Come on out to Bladensburg Waterfront Park, as we stay open after hours to enjoy a campfire, snacks, hot drinks, and a night hike down the Anacostia Tributary Trail!  Bundle up, bring a fun story to share and a flashlight.
