And you might recall that we also love to bring in local small businesses and nonprofits to exhibit their eco-friendly services and resources. Plus, you’ve probably heard all about the fabulous spring costumes and our funky live music.

But did you know that our Garden Party also offers FREE gardening workshops all day long?

Join us Saturday, April 2nd as we welcome Justen Garrity, the Founder and President of Veteran Compost, into our classroom from 1pm-2pm to teach our fans all about Composting for Urban Homeowners.

Composting in an urban environment can seem challenging, but with just a little knowledge and patience, you can successfully turn your food waste into rich soil in no time!

Justen will be covering the basic science behind composting and sharing insider’s tricks on how to implement this in your own urban yard. Bring all your composting questions and he will make sure they are answered by the end of the session!

Remember, all of our workshops are free and open to the public. If you would like to reserve a seat, please RSVP on our Eventbrite page. Walk-ins are always welcome and you can still join us even if the event’s registration is full; RSVPs just guarantee you a place to sit for our most popular classes.

Stay tuned as we introduce you to our partners and highlight new and exciting Garden Party details that you won’t want to miss! To keep up with all of our workshop, music, and event details leading up to the big day, please subscribe to the Forklift blog below.
