Our fall training session

is THIS Saturday, Sept. 10th,

so Community Builder applications

must be received by noon on Thursday, Sept. 8th.

Community Builders are a team of friendly folks who help us spread the word about reuse, mostly on weekends.  We have students, stay-at-home-parents, career-changers, and retirees from all backgrounds – it’s a great bunch!  These on-call, part-time contractors are part of our Outreach & Education department.

We need extroverts who can staff our booth at street fairs and trade shows, help us with special events, support workshop presenters in our classroom, and lead volunteer groups at our warehouse (and yes, you’ll sometimes get to do a craft project or wear a silly costume!).  The best candidates have an easygoing and very outgoing personality, great time-management habits, and good record-keeping skills.  2012 - 5 Riverdale Arts Festival booth

Hours vary according to your availability and our needs, but our busiest seasons are weekends in April – June and September – November.
