After Thanksgiving, let’s celebrate community instead of commercialism!

green friday small business saturday

After Thanksgiving, shop green, shop small, or don’t shop at all…

here’s an excuse to stay away from the mall!

November 25th &  26th

11 am – 4pm

We’ll have live entertainment, free gift-making workshops, local artists, delicious food, and free photos with Santa for all ages.  It’s FREE for the whole family.  (Of course, you are welcome to bring cash so you can patronize the locally-owned businesses, tip the entertainers, and support your favorite nonprofit reuse center!)

Times for each activity will be announced soon, but here’s an overview of what’s happening:

Green Gifts!

 For your favorite Forklift Fan

We have t-shirts at the front desk for $10 each, available in two colors: gray with green letters, and cobalt with gray letters. We carry sizes for men and women from small to 3X.

Plakookee is a collaboration between artists Rachel Debuque and Justin Plakas. Their projects span across design, sculpture, installation, constructed photography and time-based art work. Their work, together and independently, has been exhibited and screened in spaces across the U.S. and internationally. At this event, they will be debuting a series of prints photographed with Community Forklift items. A portion of the proceeds of the sale will benefit our Home Essentials program for needy families.
