Try Your Hand at Cutting Glass During This Free Workshop!

WHEN:   1pm – 2pm on Saturday, November 19th

WHERE:  Community Forklift, 4671 Tanglewood Drive, just outside NE DC in Edmonston MD (in the Port Towns neighborhood near the Hyattsville Arts District)

Join Kim as she demonstrates techniques she uses in creating stained glass windows. After the demonstration, you’ll have a chance to practice the technique.

Kim Steinmuller Joy was raised in upstate New York and now lives and works in Woodbridge, VA. She has been a stained glass artist and teacher since 1982. Her works are in private and public collections worldwide. As a bead artist, Kim has been working since 2001. Most of her pieces are in the traditional style and starting to branch out to incorporate materials not usually found in the mediums. As an instructor, she shares her love for stained glass and jewelry making and helps other artists see their potential.

She belongs to National Capital Art Glass Guild, Del Ray Artisans and PMC Guild. Her work can be found at Del Ray Artisans in Del Ray, VA, Local Colour LLC in Alexandria, VA and at local craft shows.eyes-on-you-kim-s-joy
