Community Forklift and the Edmonston Green Team are joining forces once again to bring you the

Bike to Work Day Port Towns Pit Stop – 2017

On Friday, May 19th, join over 10,000 area commuters to celebrate bicycling as a clean, fun, and healthy way to get to work. Attend our Port Towns pit stop, or one of 85 other stops throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, for free refreshments, entertainment, and giveaways (including a free t-shirt for the first 16,000 registered across the DC area).

Morning Commute Pit Stop: 7am-9pm
Evening Commute Pit Stop: 4pm-6pm

Veteran’s Park – Northeast Branch Trail at Decatur Street in Edmonston, Maryland

Activity lineup

  • Join the Edmonston Green Team in greening the newly-renovated Veterans’ Park;
  • Help Community Forklift recycle old house hardware into windchimes you can display on your bike;
  • Snack on granola bars and fresh produce for breakfast, courtesy of MOM’s Organic Market;
  • Groove to some acoustic tunes played by Maureen of the Anacostia Watershed Society;
  • Enjoy dinner from La Fondita Mexican Restaurant;
  • And don’t miss your chance to get a free smoothie from ECO City Farms famed smoothie bike! (@ the afternoon pit stop only)

We’ll also have some giveaways from the PG County Department of Transportation! Registration for the event is free and easy to complete online. Remember to select “MD – Port Towns – Edmonston” when prompted to select your pit stop location. Please register for only one of the available time slots: You may still attend both morning and afternoon events, but the time of day for which you register will determine when your T-shirt is available for pick up.
