A jazz band for all occasions. “We have fun and would love to grace Community Forklift, the coolest business around!”
2pm-4pm: Walter Weinschenk & Friends
Though they have chosen separate musical paths, Walter Weinschenk, Jeff Becker and David Weaver often collaborate to bring together songs and sounds that reflect their collective interest in folk, rock, blues and jazz. Jeff Becker plays acoustic and electric bass and performs with various jazz ensembles in the area.. In addition to jazz, he enjoys folk, rock and bluegrass and often puts his bass aside to play mandolin, guitar and keyboards. David Weaver is a local songwriter, guitar player and vocalist whose music is heavily grounded in the American folk and country tradition. He often performs his music in the DC area as a solo performer or backed by an eclectic array of local musicians. Walter Weinschenk loves it all but has an unabashed bias for the electric blues, rock and American folk. And performing with them for the first time in the DC area is the drummer/percussionist Rick Nayer, a native of Brooklyn, New York. Rick began drumming in the ’60s and hasn’t looked back: he has extensive knowledge of rock music in all its forms. Though they travel in different musical directions, their collective sound is an interesting expression of music that is both fresh and familiar.
Santa just loves DIY projects and he always makes sure to stop by the Forklift on Green Friday and Small Business Saturday to check in with all the little upcyclers and Forklift Fans!

County Manners is brought to you by Chef Jeremy. A true “County Boy” at heart with deep roots in Southern Maryland. His passion for food was built on cooking fresh caught fish over a campfire on the Potomac River. With an equal love for food, outdoors, and the Southern Maryland way of life, he decided to share his experiences with others. He created a unique concept by combining traditions passed on to him by family and his years of experience as chefs.
“I look forward to bringing you the best of what Southern Maryland has to offer.”
