Have you started spring cleaning or planning a summer renovation?
Do you have a lot of usable items that you just don’t need any more?
Does your house look like this, too? We want to hear from you! (Photo credit: Holly Harper, 2018 Reuse Contest Winner)
By donating to Community Forklift, you can qualify for a tax deduction, reduce disposal costs, keep items out of the landfill, create jobs, and lift up local communities. We accept donations of most new and salvaged building & landscaping materials, appliances, and tools, as well as antique and vintage housewares. We also accept some furniture and commercial materials on a case-by-case basis.
For certain large donations,
you can even schedule a free pickup at home.
To request a pick up, please review our Donations Guidelines
and fill out our online form.
It’s currently a slow time for our pickup team,
so beat the late-spring rush and get your requests in now!
And while you’re at it: if your friends and neighbors are cleaning or renovating, remind them that we can help them too.
Although we can’t schedule pick ups by email, if you have a specific question, the quickest way to reach our Donations Team is by emailing Donations@CommunityForklift.org (if necessary, you can also call our Donations Coordinator at 301-985-5180 ext. 202).
The Donations team is in the office Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. We are not able to respond to phone calls, texts, emails, and online forms outside of these hours.
Community Forklift is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. Donations are tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.
