On Friday May 18, 2018 we invite you to join over 10,000 area commuters to celebrate bicycling as a clean, fun, and healthy way to get to work. Visit our Port Towns pit stop, one of 100 stops throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia, for free refreshments, entertainment, and giveaways. Stop by for morning snacks from MOM’s Organic Market, and in the afternoon, see ECO City Farms with their famous smoothie bike!
All participants who register are automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to
win one of five free bikes!
Register now for a chance to win a bike and earn yourself a free t-shirt!
(T-shirts are limited to the first 20,000 participants registered across the DC area.)
Morning Commute Pit Stop: 7am-9am
Evening Commute Pit Stop: 4pm-6pm
Registration for the event is free and easy to complete online. To register with us, select “MD – Port Towns – Edmonston” when prompted to choose your pit stop location. Feel free to visit multiple pit stops on Bike to Work Day, but remember your free Bike to Work Day t-shirt can only be picked up at the pit stop you select during registration.
We’re also excited to announce that our friends at DC Bike Ride, a Bike to Work Day sponsor, are continuing the bike month celebration with the region’s only car-free, closed-road, recreational bike ride on Saturday, May 19. The ride is open to cyclers age 3 and up, of all biking abilities. Use the promo code LOVETOBIKE18 to save $10 off standard registration, which is open online through May 16.
Never biked to work before? Don’t fret! The organizers have put together a handy guide for first time riders to answer all your questions. Click here for their guide!
