When you were young, did you spend more time developing your social and scholastic skills than ripping apart and rebuilding household items? You’re not alone. Many accomplished women find that when it comes to home repairs, they lack some confidence.
That’s what this event is about—boosting your skills and knowledge, and empowering you to take on new projects. We know you can do it; A little exposure and practice will set you up for success!
So, invest in yourself and join a welcoming group of other enterprising women to conquer fun challenges you probably never thought you’d tackle. Several local instructors will share skills and secrets for: DIY home repair and maintenance, urban gardening, lock-picking, financial literacy, and bike mechanics. We’re excited to help bring this retreat to life, and will be hosting the home repair and maintenance portions at Forklift!
Depart from your typical weekend routine to invest in yourself and join other resourceful women for this fun-filled, educational event. You will walk away with new skills and a revived confidence in yourself. Be prepared to be impressed by your hidden talents!
Registration is open until July 29, and you can save $75 with coupon code DIY75.

If this sounds exciting, you can get a little preview of the retreat during our workshop this Saturday, July 21st from 2pm-4pm! Katie Strohl, one the retreat’s instructors, is leading a short workshop (open to women and men) at Forklift on upcyling. This is an introductory class that will take you through the warehouse to find unique objects and give them new life. Every attendee will make and take their own upcycled item. Come learn some basic DIY skills while repurposing objects!
