Community members painted doors provided by Community Forklift for “A County of Neighbors”, a project by Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy aiming to build strong connections across communities and affirm the benefits of welcoming all residents.

December 3rd is #GivingTuesday!

Community Forklift works tirelessly to make reuse a priority on your list of things that need support. With generous financial and material contributions, we have provided over 1,200 households in need with free appliances, furniture, and other essentials. At Community Forklift, reuse is also a part of the green economy, diverting $42 million worth of materials from the landfill since 2005. Learn more about us at www.communityforklift.org/about-us/

Why do you give? Is it because Community Forklift has provided neighbors in need with essential building materials? Is it knowing that your local non-profit community organizations can come to the reuse center to get free supplies for their projects? Or maybe you give to the Forklift because you know it’s a resource and a gathering place in your community that is working to change lives.

#GivingTuesday is December 3rd, and Community Forklift is proud to be a part of this global celebration of giving. Please consider pledging your dollars to support our mission to lift up local communities by making home repairs affordable, reducing waste, promoting reuse, and creating green jobs for people with barriers to employment. Your generous contribution can also be eligible for the MD Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC). Please help us continue to make reuse an everyday reality by donating online at communityforklift.org/contribute/

Thank you for making reuse come alive!
