Essentials for less: 25% off Lighting

Thursday, May 28 – Sunday, May 31

We are here for you! Community Forklift is committed to staying open as a resource providing free and low-cost essential home repair materials to the community. This Thursday, May 28, through Sunday, May 31, take 25% off the blue and orange price tags on hundreds of lights, from modern fixtures to antique chandeliers. The sale includes glass shades and globes, overhead lights, flush-mounted lights, wall sconces, outdoor lighting, fluorescent fixtures, and lamps.

At Community Forklift, your well-being is our first priority. We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC and are paying close attention to the situation. Please stay home if you are sick or at a high risk of getting very sick (learn what to do if you are sick here). Please wear a face mask and maintain a six-foot distance from other people when shopping in the warehouse.

Please note our new warehouse hours: 12 – 5 pm, Monday through Sunday. You can also shop for lighting online in our new Community Forklift Marketplace!

If you or someone you know needs lighting or other home repair supplies but will have difficulty paying for them, please look into our Home Essentials Program. Through this program, Community Forklift provides free home repair supplies and other household essentials to people with low incomes.

Please note: discount does not include light parts, electrical supplies, select specialty items, items from our consignment partners, or items listed online in our eBay or Chairish shops. Items with missing or damaged price tags will not be sold. May not be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Every time you donate or shop at Community Forklift, you’re helping us lift up local communities through reuse.  We turn the construction waste stream into a resource stream for communities in the DC region – by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill, preserving historical materials, providing low-cost building supplies, and creating local green jobs.
