DIY Inspiration: Black-Lacquered China Cabinet

If you’re looking for a fun furniture project, the Community Forklift reuse warehouse is a great resource for upcycling. We have many shapes, sizes, and styles of furniture ready for a facelift. One of those pieces is a really great china cabinet!

But first, the inspiration! Check out this beautiful black-lacquered china cabinet being sold on Etsy:

It features an awesome gold interior, glossy black finish, bright gold hardware, and beautiful wire panels on the door fronts. It has a lot of similar design elements to this cabinet here at Community Forklift:

While not an exact match, the molding at the top and on the base, the six doors, the wire panels, and the lighted interior are strikingly similar. With some paint, creativity, and DIY experimentation, the Community Forklift cabinet could get a whole new look!

Check out this cabinet with beautiful bones online in the Community Forklift Marketplace or in person at the reuse warehouse any day between 12 and 5 pm! Purchasing it from Community Forklift keeps usable materials out of the landfill and helps provide free building materials and home essentials to nonprofit organizations and households with limited incomes. Plus, it’s a steal at only $185!

Please note: Community Forklift is not affiliated in any way with Studio60co. We just have two very similar pieces of furniture! But we very much appreciate their letting us use their photos and listing for inspiration. Thank you to Sudio60co!
