Community Forklift will be open 12 – 5 pm every day over the holiday weekend. Stop in and save on modern & vintage furniture, architectural salvage, tile, appliances, kitchen cabinets, lighting, granite counters, tools, hardware, doors, windows, flooring, bathroom fixtures, items in our courtyard, and more!

At Community Forklift, your well-being is our first priority. We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC and are paying close attention to the situation. Please stay home if you are sick or at a high risk of getting very sick (learn what to do if you are sick here). Please wear a face mask and maintain a six-foot distance from other people when shopping in the warehouse.

Please note our warehouse hours: Monday – Sunday, 12 – 5 pm.

Community Forklift also offers online shopping and low-contact pickup through the Community Forklift Marketplace! Shop online for items on our warehouse floor, come to our warehouse within five days of purchase, show your ID to the front desk associate, and we’ll bring your order to the loading dock while you get your vehicle! Please bring an appropriate vehicle for transport and help for loading. Due to social distancing, we will not be able to help you load items into your vehicle. See what’s available at www.CommunityForkliftMarketplace.org!

Community Forklift provides free home repair supplies and other household essentials to people with low incomes through our Home Essentials Program. If you or someone you know needs items but will have difficulty paying for them, please take a look!

Please note: discount does not include lumber, bricks and masonry, select specialty items, items listed in our eBay or Chairish stores, or items from our consignment partners such as Treinarncation raw-edge slabs or Alco Appliances. Items with missing or damaged price tags will not be sold. Discount may not be combined with other offers.

Every time you donate or shop at Community Forklift, you’re helping us lift up local communities through reuse. We turn the construction waste stream into a resource stream for communities in the DC region – by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill, preserving historical materials, providing low-cost building supplies, and creating local green jobs.
