Lifting up communities through reuse

Join us for Green Friday &
Small Business Saturday 2019! |
We hate Black Friday — the commercialism, the cost, and the unhappy crowds. Let’s celebrate community instead!
Come by our warehouse to relax with friends and make presents. We’ll have live entertainment, a salvage sale, local artists, delicious food, and free photos with Santa for all ages. And it’s FREE for the whole family. (Of course, you are welcome to bring cash so you can patronize the locally-owned businesses, tip the entertainers, and support your favorite reuse nonprofit!)

11AM – 2PM EACH DAY
at the Community Forklift warehouse
4671 Tanglewood Drive, Edmonston, MD 20781

Lift Up Your Community |
 |
Community Forklift provides free basic necessities to neighbors in need: a hot oven for cooking a Thanksgiving dinner, a working washing machine for cleaning school clothes, or a refrigerator for keeping healthy foods fresh.
Every financial gift helps us fulfill our mission to promote reuse and lift up our community. Donate today by visiting CommunityForklift.org/contribute and help us make life’s necessities possible for our neighbors in need.
Thank you for your support!

Polar Bear Plunge 2020 |
 |
Community Forklift is taking the plunge! On January 25th, a team of Community Forklift fans will wade into the icy Potomac to raise money for the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN), the first grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to fighting global warming in our area.
How can you help? Join our Forklift Freezers fundraising team, raise money to fight global warming, and take the plunge with us in January. Or if you’d rather stay on dry land, donate to our team and come cheer us on! |

The shop is full of vintage and new holiday decorations including wreaths, Christmas trees and stands, ornaments, gifts, and more! The reuse center is open seven days a week 9am – 7pm and is located five minutes from DC, near Hyattsville.
