Community Forklift

Lifting up communities through reuse

Help Us Fight to Keep Winter Cold
On January 26, a brave group of Forklifters are taking the plunge to keep winter cold. We’re joining the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) for their 2019 Polar Bear Plunge, which raises money for their fight against climate change.
Support our efforts by donating to our team. Your donation will directly
support both CCAN’s environmental work and Community Forklift.

CCAN’s work has a direct impact on our local communities, and they recently celebrated two major victories:
Governor Hogan’s vote rejected permitting the “Potomac Pipeline” in Maryland
DC Council approved the Clean Energy DC Act, requiring DC to be powered by 100% renewable energy by 2032
CCAN’s goals for 2019 include doubling Maryland’s renewable energy mandate, pushing for coastal protection funds in Virginia, and stopping the Mountain Valley and Atlantic Coast Pipelines.
Your Donation Goes Further Than You Think: Your contribution also helps the Forklift!
As a nonprofit partner of CCAN, Community Forklift receives a portion of every donation made to our team!
Each year, these extra funds go a long way in helping us Lift Up local communities and saving reusable building materials and furniture from the landfill.
The more we raise, the more we earn!
And the more good you’re helping us do!
