Funkyard Festival 2018
Community Forklift’s annual FunkYard Festival celebrates:
practical & creative reuse
repairs & repurposing
old homes & local history
Join us at the warehouse for historic preservation experts, salvage & restoration demos, antiques advice, artists who create with salvaged materials, local food and beer, free face painting, and more.
We’re also thrilled to announce the return of Pickers’ Paradise! Hunt through our tent of parts and pieces to find everything you need for your next creative project
And, of course, you can’t celebrate the funky side of reuse without a little funk music! Performers include Ron Hicks Project and three-time IMA nominee Lil’ Maceo. So round up your friends, family, and (friendly, leashed) pets, and bring them all to the party on October 6th!

Home Essentials
We’ve had a busy summer distributing furniture, repair supplies, and appliances to neighbors in need through our Home Essentials Program. Since January, we’ve donated $43,072.76 worth of materials through Home Essentials – that’s 9% more than we donated last year. And, in August alone, we donated $7,273.64 worth of items to local households!
Ms. R reached out to us when her washing machine broke and flooded her house. She’s disabled and has difficulty walking, so she wasn’t able to get to the laundromat. Her laundry piled up and she had to wear the same clothing over and over. On top of that hassle, she was also in and out of the hospital several times. But when she came home after her recovery, we were able to give her a washing machine.
“The washing machine works fine and I’ve already washed three loads of clothes! Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.” -Ms. R., senior citizen

If you have working appliances, building materials, or furniture in good condition that you no longer need, YOU can help us lift the community through reuse! All donated materials, whether they’re sold in the warehouse or donated through a community giving program, help to carry out our mission. You can drop off items any day of the week, or request a free pick-up
